On September 8, 2000, the Dallas DownRiver Club sponsors the Sixth Annual Trinity River Challenge. Over fifty boats are expected to enter the race. The TRC is held on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, an 11.2 mile section from Lewisville Dam to McInnish Park in Carrollton. After the race, TRC volunteers will serve barbecue brisket and raffle off many neat prizes donated by these sponsors. (Galyan's donated a canoe this year!)
